Contractors onsite
Dear families,
Arborists are onsite today as well as fencing contractors.
We recommend staying away from the school site for your safety. If you do visit the playgrounds, stay well clear from working areas and watch out for vehicles.
Arborists will be completing works on trees and branches for safety and long term maintenance.
Thanks

Stop Work Action Cancelled
8 March 2023
Dear Families,
Today, we have been advised that the planned Stop Work Action for Friday, 10 March has been called off by the Australian Education Union (AEU).
This means that on Friday our normal school operations will be in place.
Stop Work Action Update
7 March 2023
Dear Families,
The latest advice we have is that the Australian Education Union (AEU) has directed its members to participate in a stop work action on Friday 10 March 2023.
As a result of the number of staff participating in this action, a decision has been made to temporarily close all Tasmanian Government Schools for educational instruction from 1.00pm on Friday 10 March 2023.
This means that on Friday schools will open as normal in the morning and students can arrive at school as they usually do on this day. However, families will need to make arrangements to pick their child up at 1.00pm.
We have been advised that buses will run as per their usual timetable in the morning and afternoon. If your child relies on bus transport in the afternoon you will need to make other arrangements for their travel home.
We understand this will be an inconvenience for some families; it is regrettable that school closure action is necessary, however, we must be able to ensure adequate safety and supervision of students. If you have concerns regarding these arrangements, please contact our office as soon as possible.
If needed, we will communicate any changes to these arrangements.

SCHOOL LUNCH PILOT SURVEY - WIN for you and the school
As part of the School Lunch Project, children in prep to Year 6 are receiving free cooked lunches one day a week. To help better understand the benefits and challenges of providing cooked school lunches, researchers from the University of Tasmania are interested in hearing feedback from parents. You are invited to complete a short survey.
Every parent who completes a survey will go in the draw to win a $20 Visa/Mastercard voucher.
If more than 20% of eligible parents complete the survey, your school will receive a $500 voucher that can go towards improving school food facilities. If you would like to participate, please follow this link:
https://redcap.utas.edu.au/surveys/?s=7KTYJLDXDRW3R3P4
We thank you in advance for your participation!
