Bushfire Alert

As you may be aware, there is a bushfire burning near our school.  Your safety, as well as the safety of our students, is our top priority.  Our Director of Operations is monitoring the situation and is in regular contact with our Principal Mrs Wightman.

We will keep you updated on any developments and changes to the situation.

The plan for Thursday 07.03.24 as at 06.03.24 11.02pm:

Students go to their classroom.  We will have a short whole school assembly after 9:15am.

We have been advised that we should not be outside when helicopters are working to take water from the lake to put out the fires. Please speak with your child about remaining in their classroom should helicopters be in operation at Waverley Lake.

Day for Daniel: Wear Red

Day_for_Daniel.png

On Friday the 27th of October, we encourage all students to wear something red to school, over their full school uniform, to recognise the Morcombe Foundation’s ‘Day for Daniel’. This is Australia’s largest child safety education and awareness day.

The day aims to educate children and young people about how to stay safe in physical and online environments.

Leading up to the day, students will be focusing on personal safety in PBL lessons with Mrs Edwards.

Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation for the Morcombe Foundation and in return will be able to select a book to keep.

Lunch Program

Dear families, the school lunch program starts again this week. 3/4 & 5/6 on Thursdays. P/1, 1/2 & 2/3 on Fridays. Thank you, Waverley PS
